I passed the driving test today, and I am left with an incredible gratitude for my driving instructor, Ruben. When I started, I was really scared of driving and never thought I would feel safe behind the wheel. But he saw me, understood me and met me right where I was. Every single lesson felt safe, predictable and at the same time developing. He always had patience to spare, explained things in a way that calmed me down, and gave me confidence when I doubted myself. Little by little, the fear disappeared - and today I drove up without feeling it at all. It means more to me than he probably knows. I have not only gotten a driver's license; but found the security of being able to drive, something I thought was impossible for me. I recommend him with all my heart to anyone who wants a driving instructor who really cares, who sees you as a person, and who helps you grow - not only as a driver, but as a person.
